Wet Working Uniform

Friday takes a swim in her combats and shirt

Being a diesel engineer, Friday's main uniform is of course a boilersuit, but sometimes she needs something just a bit smarter, while still practical. Which is where her dark blue combat trousers and pale blue shirt come in. Though she still eschews a tie, preferring the open neck look. And she's good enough that no-one quibbles with her choice of office attire.

Of course, being part of this household, she also rather likes to swim in her clothes. Which is where these photos and video come in!

First she splashes through the shallows in her union jack wellies, barely getting a splash on her outfit. But then she wades, slowly and carefully, into the deep pool below the viaduct, and no wellies are going to save her clothes here! Within a few steps both wellies are flooded, and then her trousers feel the steadily rising water as it englulfs her legs, and then her trunk. She wades in chest deep before turning and wading back out again so we can see her soaked trousers emerging from the water. On the shore, she empties the water out of her wellies, before wading straight back in, filling them again, going all the way to neck deep, and then going for a swim.

She plays in the water for a while, wading in and out, leaping in with great splashes, and swimming about, all still with her wellies on.

At the end she wades back out, poses on the bank, and climbs back up to the path above, still wearing her soaking wet clothes and water-filled wellies.

Friday flashes her infectious smile all the way through the set, she really does enjoy getting utterly drenched with her clothes on.

The Bathing Nurse

Nurse Wendy-Household takes a healthy dip in the sea

The Victorians knew that the fresh air of the sea coasts, and bathing in the sea, were two means to ensure robust good health, and that's a lesson from the past that RGN (Registered Gunge Nurse) Wendy-Household is keen to pass on to her own generation. So after a day spent exploring the delights of the beautiful coastal resort of Great Insmouth, she finishes her day with a refresshing sunset dip in the sea. Of course one should temper the effects of the water a little, so she bathes fully dressed in her uniform.

This set was genuinely taken at Sunset on the East Coast, hence the light was gentler and photographs required a longer exposure. We've left in some of the slightly blurred shots this time as we feel they more accurately capture the feel and movement of the waves breaking over Nurse Wendy, and there are still plenty of sharp shots to show the results in detail.

Orange and Wet!

Lady Jasmine soaks her favourite boilersuit in an evening dip in the river

Wearing one of her favourite outfits, Lady Jasmine goes off exploring the byways of Wharfedale, examining an ancient stone pack-horse bridge before finishing off with a paddle in the Wharfe itself.

She wades into the river slowly, taking time to flood her blue wellington boots one at a time, then, with both boots filled and the river lapping at the legs of her coverall, she bends one knee, soaking her right leg to mid-thigh, and splashes water up onto her suit. She stands up, boot-tops just under the water, and goes on splashing herself until the front of the legs and trunk of her coverall are soaked.

Next she kneels down in the water, and then slowly sits down on her heels, enjoying the sensations as the still-dry backs of her legs, and then her shapeley bottom, sink into the water. She sits in the river for a few moments, letting the pure fresh water flow through her clothes and caress her skin, before kneeling up again, so we can admire her soaked bottom.

Lady Jasmine moves to the bank, sits on the grass with her legs in the water, and then slides herself forward, down into the water once more. She slides in to her waist, and then takes off her cap, dips it in the river, fills it with water, and splashes it back onto her head, soaking her hair and the upper part of her suit.

Satisfied with her handywork, Lady Jasmine poses for a while in the water, relaxing as the river water flows through her coveralls.

An afternoon in the river

Lady Jasmine, in her jeans and wellies, and her fiendish gunge-helper, The Pink Pourer, make the most of a hot afternoon in the Dale near the Hall, splashing each other, paddling, and getting generally soaked.

Lady Pink takes to the water first, paddling, sitting down, and then allowing Lady Jasmine to splash water over her. Then it's Lady Jasmine's turn, she wades into the clear water, flooding her boots, slowly soaking her jeans all the way to her waist, and then lying back and going for a swim, still with her jacket and wellies on.

The weather was wonderful, still and warm, and this location under a lovely old stone bridge was beautiful, so these two, friends for a long time now, made the most of it, splashing in and out of the river, Lady Jasmine swimming in the deep pool below the bridge.

Lady Jasmine's jeans, jacket, shirt and boots completely drenched, and The Pink Pourer's boilersuit and boots totally soaked. All in all, a wonderful way to spend an afternoon!

Getting Formally Wet!

Lady Jasmine and Nurse Wendy-Household have a paddle in the river, and have a great time soaking their clothes, Lady Jasmine in a lovely formal dress which really shines once it is soaked, and th nurse in her trademark blue uniform.

Both women end up totally soaked to the skin as they experiment with various locations and pools, Lady Jasmine taking a delight in lying down in the water, feeling her dress ripple and flow as the river flows over her, while Nurse Wendy loves to sit in her dress in the pools and under the bridge, splashing and being splashed until she's completely drenched.

A lady at play

Lady Jasmine wears one of her favourite outfits through the woods and into the river

Sometimes her ladyship just likes to go for a walk in the woods, dressed entirely for her own pleasure, and finish up soaking herself in one of the rivers which flows off her estate. On this occasion, she's chosen to wear the orange jumpsuit and cap from her 'you've been a naughty girl' session, complete with the collar and slave bracelets!

First she wanders amongst the trees, and poses on the moss-covered rocks. Then she changes into her wellingtons (as if those will keep her dry for more than a few moments!), and into the water she goes!

It was a bright and sunny early-Spring day, but the river water, flowing down off the high moors above the Chase, was still bitterly cold. Jasmine was determined to soak herself anyway though, so enjoy her reactions as the ice-cold water floods her boots and then slowly drenches the rest of her outfit.

Red Bathing Dress

Lady Jasmine wears another of her favourite formal dresses into the maid's bath at the Grand Imperial Hotel, Knightsbridge, London. First she steps into the already-full bath, wetting the hem and lower part of the skirt, then she gently pours glasses of warm water down her front, completely soaking the bodice of the dress. And then she lies down in the water and relaxes, her drenched dress floating arround her.

Uniform Drenching

Lady Jasmine pulls on one of her all time favourite outfits, the pale blue nurses uniform tunic and trousers which were the first ever items tested when she started her gunge-testing business. First she poses in the uniform, showing off the cut and fit of the outfit. Then she wears it into the shower, first soaking just her right side, and then, in stages, the whole costume. And then she lies down in the filling bath and relaxes in the warm water, completely and utterly drenched, fully dressed and with her shoes still on.

Drenching the Green

Lady Jasmine soaks one of her favourite dresses

This lovely green silk dress is one of Lady Jasmine's favourite outfits, she's worn it into the mudflats, loaned it to friends to get drenched in gravy, and takes it with her as an extra gunge dress everywhere she goes. Needless to say it was carefully packed when she spent a night in London's Grand Imperial Hotel, and was the second outfit to get soaked in the maid's bathroom that night.

First she poses in it, showing off the shimmer and lustre of the lovely fabric, and then it's into the shower and under the water, and soon the dress is utterly drenched in the cascading water.

The Wet Nurse No1

Not so long ago, Lady Jasmine spent an evening in London, staying in the presidential suite of the Grand Imperial Hotel, Knightsbridge, for the night. While there, she took the opportunity to drench-test several outfits in the en-suite bathroom of her maidservant's bedroom.

First under the shower was a classic traditional nurses uniform dress, by Alexandra Workwear, though before soaking it she posed for several dozen photos in the bedroom, showing the outfit in full detail.

Why shoot in the maid's chambers? The hotel has a standing arrangements with all its most exclusive guests not to photograph the hedonistic luxury of the main bathing chambers in the presidential, palatial and imperial suites. As the names imply, these suites are frequently used by heads of state and leaders of major governments, and it's felt that if the general populace ever learned of just how much luxury their elected leaders treat themselves to at taxpayer expense, a series of bloody revolutions would surely follow. Lady Jasmine of course has the use of these facilities by right (and by her grandfather's major shareholding in the hotel), but still, word would no-doubt get around.
