Lucinda gets hosed down by the cook!

Sporty Lucinda gets a drenching in the dungeon

Lucinda is dressed for exercise, wearing a black swimsuit over tight black womens running trousers, with a thin jacket and black plimsolls, and is heading out for a run round the grounds, when she's waylaid by the dungeon stairs by Evelyne, the Hall's cook and mistress of everything and everyone below stairs.

Lucinda finds herself wondering why the mature Evelyne is dressed in a PVC catsuit and lace-up boots, but all is soon revealed when Cook tempts Lucinda down to the dungeon for one of her extra-delicious traditional cakes, only to explain that this delicacy cannot be eaten by anyone dry. Cook Evelyne's cakes are something of a legend, so Lucinda happily agrees to be hosed down in her exercise clothes in return for a slice of cake.

Of course like everyone else in this household, Evelyne isn't exactly averse to a good drenching herself, so once Lucinda has been thoroughly soaked from head to toe she takes charge of the hose for a bit and the cook soon finds herself equally drenched, including having her catsuit filled with water.

Maude Red Boilersuit Buckets

Self-bucketing in the scenery!

A quick and simple bonus extra scene for the last week of 2021.

Maude, dressed in a bright red boilersuit and union jack wellies, sits on the riverbank and pours three full buckets of freezing cold river water all over herself. Shot in April some years ago, the air tempertature was a balmy 21c/70f. But the rivers were still being fed by snow-melt and the water was absolutely freezing! Nevertheless, Maude gives herself an utter drenching.

Buckets from Above

Bonus Update: Maude gets her wet come-uppance

Oh dear. Two summers ago we caught Maude going about her work in the house while wearing dry wellies. All of the household servants at the Hall know that during the summer months, their uniform wellies should be kept well topped up with water at all times, and so an example must be made of anyone who breaches the rules.

We let the other servants suggest suitable penalties, and the punishment they came up with was simple - on the first sunny day of the Spring, when the air was warm but the waters of the estate river were still chilly with snow-melt from the high moors, we sat Maude down on a chair beside the old stone Bathing Pool Bridge, and had Nurse Wendy pour four full buckets of freezing river water over her from above. The height of the bridge at that point is over twelve feet, so the chilly water lands on Maude with some force! Her hair ends up completely plastered to her head and her uniform dress is totally drenched. Having poured the four buckets, Wendy had some extra water left in a basin, so she throws that over too, just for thoroughness.

Any suggestion that Maude may have deliberately voted for this penlaty herself, or indeed deliberately made a point of wearing completely dry wellies while attending to Her Ladyship purely in order to receive a freezing drenching, are of course just rumours.

The reason there is some dampness on Maude's uniform before the pouring starts is that she helped to fill the buckets for her own drenching, and in the process almost fell in the river before we could start the process! We may possibly have to give her another bucketing for that in the future. :)

Ophelia II

Maude returns to the river in a beautiful wedding gown

She's back! Maude returns to the river, still freezing cold with snow-melt from the high moors, dressed in a beautiful wedding dress with a flowing train, and again recreates the the legend of Ophelia.

She wades into the chill fresh water, slowly soaking her dress to the waist, before plunging full length into the water and floating, face below the surface, her lovely dress floating around her.

Chastity and Wendy in the river

Buckets of fun!

Two generations of our ladies, out for some soaking wet fun!

Nurse Wendy, 24, and Evelyne the cook, 45, are out for a wander in the grounds of the estate, down by the river, near the southern boundary. Both are casually dressed, Evelyne in blue denim jeans and matching jacked, worn over a swimsuit, and Wendy in a purple t-shirt and dark blue combat trousers. Evelyne is wearing blue wellies to go with her denims, but Wendy is just in black and white Converse style canvas boots.

They have a bucket. And somehow know that neither of them will be staying dry for long!

They cross the river at a shallow point, Evelyne's wellies keeping her dry for now, while Wendy just splashes into the water and soon has her trouser bottoms wet. Evelyne's dryness doesn't last long though, as she sits herself down, cross legged, in the shallow water, soaking her bottom. And then Wendy starts pouring buckets of water all over Evelyne, including right over her head! In seconds Evelyne is completely drenched, head to toe.

Of course one good soaking must lead to another, and so Wendy takes her turn sitting down in the river, to receive her own buckets of water at Evelyne's hands.

Once they are both completely soaked, the two ladies wade calf deep in the river, and take turns throwing more buckets of water over each other, full force soakings, no holds barred, the receiver in each case unresisting, taking her drenching like a woman, with no attempts to block or hide behind arms or hands. They each turn round too, and take a full force bucketing to their backs as well as face-on.

To finish, still in their wet clothes, they clamber out of the river and walk along the roadside above, all the while being wetted down by a pressure spray carried by the camera operator, before posing by the fence, still being sprayed.

Midsummer Bonus: Evelyne's Green Boilersuit River Bath

Evelyne soaks her overalls below the viaduct

Wearing a lincoln green boilersuit, belt, and green ankle wellies, Evelyne, the Hall's cook, who's in her mid 40s, takes a bath in the river below the viaduct on the southern fringes of the estate.

First she wades in hip-deep, soaking her suit to just below the waist, then she wades out and back in again, this time going all the way to chest deep, after which she bobs and splashes to soak her suit completely and splash water over her heead. She walks in and out of the water a few times, giving us nice close up views of her soaked suit coming up out of the water each time.

Once she's totally drenched, Evelyne lies down in the shallows and crawls and rolls about in the water, laughing and splashing more water over her drenched boilersuit.

This was actually Evelyne's first outdoor set for us, and was a little experimental, hence we're releasing it as a Midsummer bonus. There is also an acompanying video.

A Midsummer's Drenching

Purity celebrates High Summer in black PVC wetlook

High Summer comes to Langstonedale, and Purity celebrates the longest days of the year with a spectacular PVC-clad dip in the river. Wearing a long black PVC dress of her own design, she wades into one of the deeper pools and gives herself a very thorough drenching, she even uses a spare Wellington boot to pour gallons of river water over her head.

High Summer is here! Be free, be wild, be wet!

Dungaree River Bath

Purity takes a dip in the river in denim overalls

Purity, dressed in leotard, denum dungarees, and Converse style boots, wades waist deep into a pool in the river, ducks down, swims, and then releaxes, soaking wet, in the shallows.

A nice simple set for Midsummer, with a fun lady really enjoying soaking her dungarees.

Uniform and Stripes!

Purity takes a dip in her own distinctive style

Meet Purity, the Langstonedale artist in residence, half-wild, with a mysterious past, who chooses to live beyond the Hall, in a tumbledown cottage a few miles along the long-abandoned road to the old North Gate, a gate that's been chained shut for more than two hundred years.

All through the summer months Purity can be found out and about on the estate, sometimes singing under the willows down by the river, or painting landscapes down by one of the little becks, or up on the rugged moors of Langstonedale Chase.

Of course, this wandering about does give plentyful opportunity for taking a dip in the waters. After all, how can you properly get to know a landscape unless you bathe in the wates? And of course, like everyone else on her ladyship's lands, Purity prefers to take the waters fully clothed, none of that bikini business for her.

Which is how she comes to be wading into the river, at the stone bridge just above the village, dressed strikingly in a blue and white striped rugby shirt, blue and white striped wellies, and a navy blue knee length uniform skirt. All of which get thoroughly soaked as she dips herself in the peat-coloured river water.

Soaked in Scarlet

Purity goes for a paddle in a nice red dress

Wearing a lovely red summer dress with small white stars, and clumpy black boots, Purity decides to wade into the river and get herself completely soaked. She has a great time in th water, gradually getting herself wetter and wetter till she's soaked to the neck. After she's walked back out of the deeper water, she lies down in the shallows, and also splashes water up over her face and hair.
